The generic version of EhBASIC for the 68K along with the EASy68K version have both been updated.

The number significant figures output for numeric values has been changed from six to seven.

An optional ELSE clause has been added to IF .. THEN.

A USING$() function has been added.

LOAD and SAVE have been modified to use the EASy68K file requester if no file name is given.

Details of the changes can be accessed via this page.

The source for the EASy68K version of EhBASIC is available from this page.

I'm sad to report that Lee passed away some time ago.

I did not personally know the man, but he was a very skilled and talented programmer.

He was only 49.

I was afraid something bad had happened.

Lee was a brilliant programmer and I consider him to be a friend even though we never met in person. He was invaluable in helping me with EASy68K.

Check out some of his creations in the examples.

I have Lee's EhBASIC running in my Tiny020 68020-based board. I am looking for EhBASIC reference manuals and example codes. I found a manual online titled "Enhanced 6502 BASIC reference manual". That was helpful, but it is obviously targeted for the 6502 processor. Does anyone know where I can find EhBASIC for 68K manual?

I can't recall ever seeing a manual for it.

Thanks for the info. That's too bad. It is such a well written software and I like the fact that I can create EhBASIC code on the target computer and yet if something weird happened, I can copy the code to the EASySim environment and debug. It is still useful, just that I may never find out some of the clever features.

Seek and ye shall find. I found an archive of Lee's website that contains a manual for EhBasic.

Thank you for the link. Along with the EhBasic reference for 68K is a number of Basic examples. Among them is a version of Startrek that I'd played many midnight hours in my college's computer lab! However, it is buggy--the same bugs show up on both EASySim and the Tiny020 target hardware. That's not all bad--give me an opportunity to delve into EhBasic and Lee's code to fix these bugs.

Hi Guys,
I am interested in getting some version of EhBASIC running on my 68K SBC. Any sources of any version of EhBASIC appropriate for a 68000 based SBC with 2MB sram and 1MB flash, a 68681 driving 2 serial ports would be great! This board also has an IDE interface driven by an 82C55. Any further info is available. Just ask me at computerdoc at sc dot rr com. Thanks a bunch.
Kip
